The Division of Consumer Protection was created in 1998 to offer assistance to consumers with insurance-related issues. The division is responsible for handling consumer complaints against health, life, auto, homeowners and commercial insurance. The division also takes complaints regarding the actions of an agent or agency.

TEAM KENTUCKY EMERGENCY FUND RELIEF

Governor Beshear has established the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund to assist Kentuckians impacted by catastrophic events. All donations to the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes after donating. This fund is fully transparent and is subject to open records and legislative oversight. There are no administrative fees, so every dollar helps Kentuckians.
